If you want to work at KFC, Pizza Hut or Hardee’s in the Gulf, the employer is usually Americana. It is the company that holds the franchise for these brands across much of the Middle East. Americana says more than 40,000 people work for it, and its head office is in Sharjah.
The Brands Behind One Employer
Americana’s official job board names these restaurant brands:
- KFC, Hardee’s, Pizza Hut
- Krispy Kreme, Costa Coffee, Baskin Robbins
- TGI Friday’s, Red Lobster
- Its own brands: Chicken Tikka, Grand Café and Fish Market
The company says it runs about 1,900 restaurants under franchise across 13 markets in the Middle East, North Africa and Kazakhstan. A job at any of these brands is an Americana job, with an Americana contract.
How Americana Hires
Americana uses two official channels.
- Its job board on Workable. Open roles are listed there, and you press Apply on the listing. When we checked, it showed no open roles, which happens between hiring rounds.
- Email. The “Apply” button on americanarestaurants.com opens an email to career@americanarestaurants.com. You can send your CV there and say which country and which kind of role you want.
Which Jobs Suit Freshers
Restaurant crew, cashier and delivery roles are the usual way in. Americana does not publish requirements or salaries on its people page, so you will only see them in a live listing. Kitchen and shift-manager jobs normally ask for restaurant experience.
Stay Safe
Americana’s official channels are its website, its Workable job board and the career@americanarestaurants.com address. A real offer does not come with a fee. If someone sells you a “KFC visa” or asks for money to process your papers, it is not Americana.
