Qatar Fertiliser Company publishes professional vacancies through its own SAP recruitment portal. Roles shown there are based in Mesaieed or Doha, Qatar.
Job seekers should read each posting carefully because education and experience requirements vary. QAFCO also has technician, diploma and graduate-development routes specifically for Qatari Nationals.
Work Areas Shown On The Portal
The portal groups vacancies under Technical, HSEQ, Administration, Major Projects, Operations, Commercial and Finance. When checked on 10 October 2026, it displayed 28 opportunities, though this number will change as positions open and close.
Examples visible on that date included engineering, construction, process safety, SAP business analysis and welding supervision. These examples show the range of work rather than a permanent vacancy list.
What Professional Roles May Require
Requirements depend on the position. Two listings that were active when checked show the level of detail applicants should expect:
- Head of Construction: A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering, or a related subject. QAFCO preferred a master’s degree and required at least 10 years of progressive experience, including three years in leadership or supervision. This Mesaieed position had an indefinite contract.
- Process Safety Engineer: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably chemical engineering, plus at least eight years of relevant process-safety experience in fertilizer, petrochemical, or oil and gas operations. The work covered HAZOP, SIL, QRA, LOPA, FMEA, major-hazard analysis and dispersion studies. NEBOSH and related certifications were desirable.
A separate SAP business analyst listing asked for five to eight years of direct relevant experience and knowledge of SAP modules, preferably SAP S/4HANA. An electrical engineering position required at least five years of relevant oil and gas, petrochemical or EPC experience.
Programmes For Qatari Nationals
The Technician Certificate Program is for Qatari Nationals under 30 who hold a recognised high-school certificate. Its specialties include process plant operation, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation work.
The Graduate Development Program is for Qatari graduates. Applicants are asked to send a Qatari ID copy, degree certificate, full academic transcripts and a comprehensive CV to training@qafco.com.qa.
How The Application Process Works
Professional applicants should find a suitable position on the official portal and submit the requested information there. QAFCO describes the stages as application submission, candidate assessment, interview, final selection and pre-employment screening.
Only shortlisted candidates are contacted for the next steps. The employer does not publish one general requirement for every job, so check the qualifications and documents stated in the individual posting.
Check Recruitment Messages Carefully
QAFCO warns about fake overseas advertisements, unsolicited offers and false social-media profiles. Genuine company email addresses should end in @qafco.com.qa.
Do not give personal or financial details to an unverified contact. Applying is free, and nobody should ask you to pay a processing fee for a QAFCO job.
