Day-To-Day Work
Your work will cover terminal supply activities involving tanks, loading racks, pumps, valves and product-transfer equipment. The responsibilities also include wastewater and slop handling under the required supervision.
- Take physical dips and meter readings from tanks and loading racks.
- Operate pumps and manually open and close valves.
- Perform loader duties when required.
- Drain water from tanks under supervision.
- Fill and drain the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
- Transfer slop to slop tanks and load wastewater into road tankers.
- Transfer products to the own-use filling station and manage its operation.
- Check tanks, valves, pumps and pipelines for leaks.
Requirements And Operational Skills
You need to be physically fit and able to complete duties under the direction of the Supply Supervisor or Team Leader. Routine operational checks form part of the work, and findings must be reported.
