About the Role
This construction position sits within Project Engineering. It involves supporting the planning and delivery of daily site activities under the direction of the Construction Manager.
You will act as a technical link between site teams, QA/QC, planning, procurement, subcontractors and consultants. The work also involves coordinating inspections, approvals, technical information, materials and project records.
Key Duties
- Supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
- Coordinate work with site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.
- Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements and technical specifications.
- Prepare look-ahead programmes, identify delays and propose suitable recovery actions.
- Monitor the allocation of manpower, materials and equipment.
- Provide technical solutions and raise RFIs when information is missing or unclear.
- Coordinate material take-offs, material requests and procurement follow-up.
- Arrange QA/QC inspections and check compliance with QCPs, ITPs and project specifications.
- Ensure that HSE procedures are implemented at the site.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain site, material, inspection and work records.
- Assist with as-built drawings and handover documentation.
- Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants and client representatives.
- Attend technical and progress meetings while supporting the resolution of site disputes and technical matters.
