What You Will Handle
Materials Planning supports aircraft maintenance by coordinating the parts needed across planned work and unexpected maintenance requirements. In this position, you will review forecasts, engineering information and reorder proposals before taking the appropriate inventory action.
Your work will cover both consumable materials and rotable spare parts. It also includes monitoring fleet defects, shelf-life items and stock arrangements such as pooling and consignment.
- Plan and coordinate materials for scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
- Review forecasts, reorder proposals and relevant engineering documents.
- Set reorder levels and ordering quantities for consumable materials.
- Evaluate and monitor float levels for rotable spare parts.
- Track fleet defects and begin actions intended to reduce them.
- Manage pool inclusion, consignment stock and surplus identification.
- Monitor shelf-life expiry items and scrap transactions.
- Support aircraft induction, return-to-service and end-of-lease projects.
Technical Knowledge And Planning Skills
