The Etihad Aircraft Appearance Mechanic position is based in Abu Dhabi within the Aircraft Appearance and Technical Cleaning department. You will oversee specialist aircraft pest-control and cleaning work while ensuring each activity follows aviation maintenance and safety procedures.

About The Aircraft Appearance Role
The work covers aircraft pest control, fumigation, disinsection and related cleaning activities across the Etihad fleet and partner airlines. You will also operate mobile elevating work platform equipment during exterior dry-wash and technical-cleaning operations.
Oversight is an important part of the position. Completed work must be checked and signed off after the required supervision and certification, with activities carried out according to AMM, TPM and AMOS job cards.
The job also requires careful use of company-issued equipment, personal protective equipment and tooling. Every task must meet the relevant safety, quality, health and airport procedures.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee pest-control and fumigation activities across Etihad aircraft and partner-airline fleets.
- Plan scheduled pest-control work and distribute the workload.
- Support aircraft exterior dry washing and technical cleaning using MEWP equipment.
- Follow AMM, TPM and AMOS job cards when completing activities.
- Verify finished work and provide sign-off after the required oversight and certification.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, health and airport procedures.
- Use company equipment, PPE and tooling correctly.
- Promote a safe and positive reporting culture.
What Etihad Is Looking For
You need basic aviation familiarity gained through relevant experience or an apprenticeship. The employer also requires two years of work in a live aviation environment involving ramp operations, placing the vacancy at an experienced, mid-level candidate level.
