About The Role

A Commis III is the entry-level cook in EKFC's production kitchens, which prepare meals for airlines flying out of Dubai. You work under senior chefs, learning the products, menus and equipment of your section while helping prepare and dish food to set specifications.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and store and handle food items as guided by senior chefs.
• Arrange and dish food items according to set menus, following hygiene and safety procedures.
• Learn the products, processes, menus, ingredients and equipment in your area.
• Keep the kitchen, storage areas, chillers and freezers clean and tidy.
• Check that kitchen equipment works and report any fault or damage to your supervisor.
• Help reduce wastage and attend all scheduled training.

Requirements

• Minimum high school certificate.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
• No prior experience needed.
• Active listening and learning, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
