What You Will Do at Choithrams
Working within Logistics and Transportation, you will support the movement of goods through receiving, storage and delivery activities. Tasks are organised around the delivery schedule, packing requirements, stock locations and trip sheets.
- Obtain the workload from the storekeeper and prioritise shipments according to the delivery schedule.
- Arrange goods for packing and delivery, then assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Move received goods from the receiving area into storage and place them in the correct locations.
- Operate jacks and pallet scooters to place stock on shelves or racks according to SKU and batch-keeping policy.
- Assist with deliveries by following the relevant trip sheets and time schedules.
- Report receiving or delivery issues to the delivery coordinator or other responsible person.
- Check and pack returned stock to prevent damage during transport.
- Collect cash-delivery payments and deposit them promptly with the authorised person.
- Keep shelves, pallets and work areas safe, clean and orderly.
Requirements and Skills
