Etihad Rail builds and runs the UAE’s national railway, for both freight and passengers. It was set up in 2009 under a federal law, and its network links the seven emirates. Because it is a government-backed company, a lot of its hiring is aimed at UAE nationals, but it does post specialist jobs on an open careers portal.
This page explains what you will find on that portal and how to apply.
How Many Jobs Are Open?
Not many at a time. When we checked on 26 October 2026, the portal had four open roles, all in Abu Dhabi:
- Network Performance Manager
- Operational Safety Standards Manager
- Station Master
- Equipment Maintenance Mechanic
Most are senior or specialist jobs in rail operations, safety and maintenance. If you have worked on a railway or metro before, this is the kind of employer worth keeping an eye on. Without rail experience, your chances are low.
Programmes For UAE Nationals
Etihad Rail says it supports the UAE Emiratisation goal and trains Emirati talent. It mentions a National Railway Program and a three-year programme with ADVETI for Emirati graduates in transport engineering and management. If you are a UAE national, these are the main way in.
Salary
Etihad Rail does not publish salaries for its roles, and we won’t guess. Your offer letter will set out the pay and benefits.
How To Apply
- Open the corporate site, corporate.etihadrail.ae, and click “Careers” or “Explore Careers”.
- This takes you to the Etihad Rail job portal. Search by job title or location.
- Apply online with your CV. You can also join the “Talent Community” to get emails about new roles.
See Etihad Rail Jobs On The Official Portal
Note that etihadrail.ae is now mainly the passenger site for booking tickets. Company and careers information is on corporate.etihadrail.ae.
Be Careful With “Etihad Rail Recruitment” Messages
Real Etihad Rail jobs are on its own portal. If an agent or a WhatsApp group offers you an Etihad Rail job for a fee, do not pay. Check the role on the portal first.
