About the Role
Based within the Technology department, the Cyber Security Officer works in Zain Bahrain’s telecommunications operations. The work covers daily security operations as well as projects that introduce or improve protective technologies.
You will work with cybersecurity tools covering extended detection and response, security information and event management, email protection, data loss prevention, vulnerability assessment, threat intelligence and user awareness training.

Key Duties
- Administer and improve the organisation’s cybersecurity solutions, including XDR, SIEM, email security, DLP and threat intelligence tools.
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents, assess the available information and carry out the required response activities.
- Provide cybersecurity awareness training and technical support to users across the organisation.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and track each issue with the relevant owner until remediation is coordinated.
- Introduce and onboard new security solutions that support Zain Bahrain’s cybersecurity operations.
- Take part in the procurement, installation, testing and implementation of cybersecurity projects.
- Support security assessments that help review controls, risks and areas requiring improvement.
