Day-To-Day Mechanical Work
Your work will cover scheduled maintenance, inspections, mechanical repairs and diagnostic tasks. The level of supervision and repair complexity depends on whether you join at junior or mid-level.
- Perform periodic maintenance, inspect vehicles and complete mechanical repairs across multiple vehicle brands.
- Service and repair brakes, suspension, steering, cooling, transmission, air-conditioning and related components.
- Use workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, repair manuals and technical information during repair work.
- Identify further repair needs and record completed work, parts used and observations on the job card or DMS.
- Conduct authorized road tests and quality checks before vehicles are handed over.
- Keep tools, equipment and work bays in line with 5S, HSE, PPE and workshop safety requirements.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, Job Controllers, Parts staff and other technicians.
- Work under supervision at junior level, or handle more complex repairs and intermediate diagnostics at mid-level.
Education And Experience Requirements
You need a Trade Certificate, ITI, Vocational Diploma, or an equivalent qualification in Automotive Mechanics or Motor Vehicle Technology. Your workshop experience must match the level for which you are applying.
- Junior Level: Zero to three years of workshop experience. Fresh graduates may be considered when they have relevant internship or apprenticeship experience.
- Mid-Level: Four to seven years of hands-on mechanical technician experience gained in a dealership or an established multi-brand workshop.
- Working knowledge of vehicle systems, repair procedures, workshop tools and safety practices appropriate to your applied level.
- For mid-level applicants, the ability to complete intermediate repairs and use common diagnostic scan tools with limited supervision.
- Basic English communication, teamwork and attention to quality.
- Willingness to undertake continuous technical training.
Multi-brand and GCC or UAE workshop experience is an advantage. A valid UAE or GCC driving licence is preferred.
