Main Responsibilities
Your work will cover logistics coordination across supply, storage, transportation and operational-support functions. The position also carries responsibility for warehouse performance, material availability and staff development.
- Coordinate and supervise the group’s logistics functions and operational support.
- Manage warehouse space, storage-location systems and inventory operations.
- Resolve storage, safety and HAZMAT issues while following company quality and safety procedures.
- Organise shipping and transportation of items to repair organisations or facilities.
- Oversee procurement, spare-parts planning, reorder points, stock levels and warehouse productivity initiatives.
- Track tools, parts and equipment sent for repair, calibration or inspection, including sensitive and high-value assets.
- Prepare reports covering payments, shipping, procurement, property accountability and warehouse stock.
- Train logistics staff, conduct performance evaluations and provide further mentoring when needed.
Education, Experience And Practical Requirements
GAL accepts a high school diploma with certifications and practical experience, or a high school diploma supported by relevant experience. A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated programs is considered a plus.
The experience and practical requirements are:
- At least six years of experience in aircraft supply operations and multiple warehouse or inventory-management functions.
- A minimum of two years of supervisory experience within that background.
- Hands-on training with automated supply systems.
- Forklift operating experience in a warehouse environment.
