About The Assignment
KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions group is filling this position under a five-year programme-management contract. The assignment supports Kuwait Oil Company construction and facility projects.
Your work will include coordinating KOC safety policies, the HSE Management System and project-specific HSE Management Plans. You will also monitor the EPC contractor’s HSE system and advise its HSE managers on compliance and risk reduction.
Another part of the assignment is interpreting Kuwait legislation and KOC requirements. Changes to relevant requirements must be communicated to PMC and EPC managers and employees.
Main Site Responsibilities
- Identify and control health, safety and environmental issues on construction sites.
- Check site compliance with relevant HSE legislation and KOC requirements.
- Guide EPC contractor management on KOC policies and statutory HSE obligations.
- Visit project sites and promote safe working practices.
- Conduct safety talks and safety training for personnel.
- Assist with hazard identification, safety programmes and safety observations.
- Support accident investigations when required.
- Monitor the availability and correct use of safety equipment.
Education And Experience Routes
The standard education route requires either a Diploma in Engineering or a B.Sc. degree. Under this route, you need at least ten years of total post-graduation experience, including a minimum of five years in oil and gas and five years working as an HSE Supervisor.
KBR may also consider applicants with a high school education under a separate route. That option requires IOSH or NEBOSH certification and at least 15 years of experience, including seven years as HSE personnel in the relevant field.
You must also have completed one or more recognized HSE courses or certifications. Accepted examples include:
