Job Role: Technician – Core Store (ADNOC Onshore)
The Technician – Core Store performs daily core handling activities as part of a technical team. The role includes maintenance of core store facilities and equipment while delivering high-quality services to ADNOC Onshore asset teams, strictly following HSE policies and supervisor instructions.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Core Handling and Inventory Management

Prepare inventory for core materials and fluid samples

Load, receive, register, catalogue, and store core materials in the rack system

Prepare loading notes and maintain accurate documentation
-
Retrieve, lay out, and store core materials for ADNOC Onshore teams, ADNOC HQ, ISH, and contractors
Sample Preparation and Processing
-
Drill, trim, and prepare plug samples using core plugging and core slabbing machines
-
Divide samples for core description and laboratory studies
-
Store slabbed cores in special trays with clearly written depth intervals
-
Arrange dispatch of cores, plug samples, slabbed cores, thin sections, and cutting samples to laboratories
Data Recording and Digital Documentation

Update core material inventory using computer systems
-
Maintain accurate digital records and databases
-
Take digital photographs of slabbed cores and perform quality checks
-
Ensure correct labelling and safe return of cores to rack storage
Equipment and Facility Maintenance

Perform routine maintenance of core store facilities and equipment

Report equipment defects and coordinate repairs through the supervisor

Ensure tools and machinery are safe and in working condition

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
Minimum Qualification

Technical Diploma, or
