Required Qualification
The required qualifications for the above positions are as follows:
Foreman Mechanical:
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Foreman Machinist:
Degree/Diploma in Machinist Engineering with 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Foreman Rudder Propeller:
Degree/Diploma in Rudder Propeller Engineering with 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Foreman Welding (Pipe & Structural):
Degree/Diploma in Welding Engineering with 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Foreman Pipe:
Degree/Diploma in Pipefitting or Plumbing with 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Foreman Plater Fabricator:
Degree/Diploma in Plater Fabrication or Sheet Metal Fabrication with 1-5 years of experience in a similar role.
The following qualifications are required for the positions of Sr. Foreman Welder, Sr. Foreman (Pipe, Mechanical, Structural), Work Preparator (Structural/Piping/Mechanical), and Structural Supervisor, Pipe Supervisor:
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role is required.
• Must have experience in working with drydocks or shipyards.
• Must have welding certification from a recognized institution.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Sr. Foreman Welder – Should have a minimum of 1-5 years’ experience in welding, fabrication and erection of Steel Structures/Pipe Spools in an Oil & Gas or Shipyard Industry. He should also be able to perform all types of welding processes like SMAW, FCAW, GMAW etc. independently.
Sr. Foreman (Pipe, Mechanical, Structural) –
The candidate should have a minimum of 1-5 years’ experience in leading a team of welders/fitters for executing the works related to piping/structural/mechanical disciplines in an Oil & Gas or Shipyard Industry.
Work Preparator (Structural/Piping/Mechanical) –
The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in preparing the working drawings and Isometrics from P&IDs for the assigned jobs related to piping/structural/mechanical disciplines in an Oil & Gas or Shipyard Industry
The most important requirement for any of these positions is a strong mechanical aptitude. Candidates should be able to demonstrate their ability to work with and understand complex machinery. They should also have experience performing maintenance and repairs on this type of equipment.
Industrial electricians must have a thorough understanding of electrical theory and be able to apply it in practical situations. They should be familiar with the National Electrical Code and other industry standards. Electricians must also be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings.
Marine riggers need to be physically fit and able to work in challenging environments. They should have experience working with ropes and rigging systems. Riggers must be able to safely lift and move heavy loads.
Pipe fitters and pipe welders must have experience working with various types of piping materials. They should be familiar with welding techniques such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). Pipe fitters and welders must be able to read and interpret blueprints or other technical drawings.
Rope access technicians need to be physically fit and comfortable working at heights. They should have experience working with ropes and rigging systems. Rope access technicians must also be proficient in basic knots and hitches.
